Section A: Applicants background

1.4 How long have you been playing Riverside? I played Riverside a lot before the shutdown and was previously a mod, I left due to school work.

Section B: Definitions and critical thinking:

2.1: Define RDM and provide two examples:
RDM stands for Random Death Match. This occurs when a player kills another player without a valid RP reason. For example: Player 1 kills player 2 whilst player 2 is inside the spawn area or Player 1 sees player 2 walking down the street and kills him for no reason.

2.2: Define NLR and provide two examples:
NLR stands for New Life Rule, this rule is broken when someone comes back to the place they previously died within 5 minutes. For example: Player 1's base is raided by the police, 2 minutes later Player 1 returns and tries to enter their base again or Player 1 is killed by Player 2, 2 minutes later Player 1 returns to the place they died and tries to kill Player 2.

2.3: Define FearRP and provide two examples:
Fear RP ensures players will react as they would in real life to any threats around them, this means they need to act scared and not do anything to put themselves in danger. For example: Player 1 pulls a gun out and points it at Player 2, Player 2 then pulls their gun out and starts firing at Player 1 or Player 1 pulls a gun out and points it at Player 2, Player 1 announces that they are kidnapping Player 2, but then Player 2 tries to run away.

2.4: What is homophobia and provide two examples:
Homophobia is discrimination against people who identify as homosexual. For example: Player 1 calls Player 2 F****t or Player 1 purposefully targets Player 2 because they may be homosexual.

2.5 What is racism and provide two examples:
Racism is discrimination against people of a different race. For Example: Player 1 calls Player 2 a N***** or Player 1 purposefully targets Player 2 because they are a different race.

Please answer the following questions as if you were a Trial-Mod:

2.6: William has adverted carjack and stolen an NHS members vehicle. Joe reports him for failing to advert carjack. What steps will you take to resolve this sit?
First, I would claim the sit, then I would look through the chat logs to see if William had adverted carjack or not. Since he did, I would only warn him for stealing an NHS vehicle as committing any crime against the NHS is against the rules.
2.7: Joe has reported William for shooting at him for no reason. William states that he was not shooting for no reason, he adverted PD raid. William has killed 6 people. What steps will you take to resolve this sit?
First, I would find out who William killed and where he killed them. If he only killed police officers who were inside the PD or trying to stop him raiding, then I would not warn him. However, if William had killed civilians outside of the police station, I would warn him for RDM or possibly contact a higher ranking staff member to ban him for mass RDM depending on the situation.
2.8: Joe (Drug dealer) has built a base on the sidewalk. William raids Joes base with no advert. Joe kills William. William gets a new gun and drives straight back and kills Joe and sells all his drugs. What steps will you take to resolve this sit?
First, I would tell Joe to delete his base as he shouldn't be building on the sidewalk as a drug dealer, then I would warn William for failing to advert a raid and for NLR. I would also try to get Joe compensation for the money he had lost.
2.9: William as a Commander in the Police is hosting a meeting he adverts “Pd meeting | Starting 5m | Important topics | No major crimes” Joe as a Jihad adverts bombing and ends up killing 10 people. What steps will you take to resolve this sit? I would contact a higher ranking member of the staff team to ban Joe if he had entered PD to blow up people in the meeting. If it was outside of the police station, I would warn him for committing major crimes during a meeting.


Section C: Questions

3.1: Why should we choose you over other applicants?

You should choose me over the other applicants because I have a lot of experience staffing and roleplaying on Garry's Mod servers including Riverside and others, this means that I will not have to have other staff members constantly helping me. I am also very professional and approachable so people will feel comfortable asking me for help. Furthermore, I am always willing to help people get the most out of the game by any means necessary and I have a strong drive to finish any task I am given. I can also dedicate a lot of time and effort to the server and I always try to finish any task I am given to the highest possible standards.

3.2: If you were in a situation you did not know how to handle what would you do?

Depending on how many staff members were in game at the time, I would ask in the staff chat in game `for someone to TP to me and ask for their opinion on the situation, or I would ask in the staff chat on discord and take the names of the people involved until I knew how to handle the situation.

3.3: Do you have previous experience staffing servers?

Yes, I have experience as a Mod on Riverside (I stopped playing due to school work) and I also reached admin and head of event staff on a large server, very similar to Riverside that opened after the shutdown This shows my high level of experience and how dedicated I am to helping people on the server.

3.4: List three strengths that you have that will help you staff:

Discipline helps me to stop any situations escalating further than they need to and allows me to take control of situations that may be chaotic., Experience means that I will not need constant assistance from other admins and I am able to solve almost any situation presented to me. and I am very approachable so people will feel comfortable talking to me and coming to me with any issues they may have..

3.5: List three weaknesses that may affect you when you’re staff: Lack of creativity (I like to do things by the book), I can be strict, especially when it comes to people breaking the rules and I am a perfectionist meaning I have to make sure everything is done to a high standard before I am satisfied.

3.6: Why do you want to be a staff member? I would like to be a staff member as I loved playing on the server before the shutdown and I want to make sure everyone can have as much fun as possible whilst playing on the server. I also want to ensure the community can grow as much as possible and help solve any problems that may arise.

+1 Good application, although I have never seen you in-game
My previous name Minidunne/Mini. I mainly played about a Year ago and stopped due to school work but started playing again before the shutdown. Thanks for the +1.

I like your application however there is a lack of detail in section C. I will give you a chance to edit this application within two days and add more detail to section C and I will re-evaluate it and either accept it and deny it on those grounds.
