Section B: Definitions and critical thinking:

2.1: Define RDM and provide two examples:
RDM (Random Deathmatch) is when one player kills another without showing any form of RP or with an invalid reason to do so.
Example 1: Player One sees Player Two and shoots him on sight without saying anything to him, because he feels like it.
Example 2: Player One walks into PD and without adverting shoots everyone inside.

2.2: Define NLR and provide two examples:
NLR (New Life Rule) is when a player dies and upon respawning remembers every detail of their previous life or goes back to the same situation within 5 minutes. You can't remember how you died or who was involved.
Example 1: Player One is getting raided by Player Two and is killed. He then respawns, buys a gun and goes back to his base to kill Player Two.
Example 2: Player One is killed by SCO19. 20 minutes later, he kills an SCO19 officer because 'he was killed by one of them before'.

2.3: Define FearRP and provide two examples:
FearRP is when you do not value your characters life, and attempt to perform something unrealistic.
Example 1: Player Two has Player One at gunpoint. Player One then runs away.
Example 2: Player Two pulls a knife on an SCO19 officer pointing their gun at him.

2.4: What is homophobia and provide two examples:
Homophobia is the discrimination against a certain type of sexuality due to their preferred orientation/interest.
Example 1: Player One calls Player Two a 'faggot' when he states he is gay.
Example 2: Player One spams hate towards someone for being gay.

2.5 What is racism and provide two examples:
Racism is discrimination towards a certain race due to their beliefs / skin colour.
Example 1: Player One calls Player Two the n word as they know Player Two is black.
Example 2: Saying inappropriate jokes about a certain race.

Please answer the following questions as if you were a Trial-Mod:

2.6: William has adverted carjack and stolen an NHS members vehicle. Joe reports him for failing to advert carjack. What steps will you take to resolve this sit?
I will ask Joe for his perspective of the situation and check the logs to confirm if William had adverted. Even though he has, you can't steal an NHS vehicle at all. I will bring William and explain to him that he can not steal an NHS vehicle under any circumstances. I will warn William for breaking this rule and then return the two to carry on playing.

2.7: Joe has reported William for shooting at him for no reason. William states that he was not shooting for no reason, he adverted PD raid. William has killed 6 people. What steps will you take to resolve this sit?
I will check the logs for an advert from William. If there was a PD Raid advert then I will dead the report and show Joe the advert and return him. If there was no advert, I will bring William to stop him from RDMing anybody else and I will explain to William what he's done wrong and ban him for the appropriate timeframe for MassRDM.

2.8: Joe (Drug dealer) has built a base on the sidewalk. William raids Joes base with no advert. Joe kills William. William gets a new gun and drives straight back and kills Joe and sells all his drugs. What steps will you take to resolve this sit?
William has failed to advert the raid (rulebreak 1). William then breaks NLR and therefore RDM's Joe (rulebreak 2&3). I will explain to William the rules he has broken and give him the appropriate punishment for these 3 rulebreaks. If William refuses to compensate Joe, then I will give Joe the money he has lost out of my own pocket and return Joe back to his base.

2.9: William as a Commander in the Police is hosting a meeting he adverts “Pd meeting | Starting 5m | Important topics | No major crimes” Joe as a Jihad adverts bombing and ends up killing 10 people. What steps will you take to resolve this sit?
Joe has Mass RDM'd as you can't carry out major crimes in a Police Meeting, as this is unfair and ruins potential RP. I will inform Joe of the rule he has broken and educate him before giving him the punishment for Mass RDM and revive or tp the people who have been killed back to the meeting.


Section C: Questions

3.1: Why should we choose you over other applicants?
You should choose me over other applicants due to my experience as a Staff Member. I was previously a Senior Admin on Riverside Roleplay, and took up various responsibilities, such as Head Mentor, Forums Manager and also Events Manager, and helped out wherever I could. I had previous experience beforehand on a DarkRP server and other Arma 3 Communities. After Riverside closed, I started playing FiveM and was Staff on CMG, who average 500 players daily, and another community - an extra 8 months of staff experience, to the point where I am more than confident taking sits and dealing with rulebreaks appropriately and professionally. I consider myself to be loyal and a good staff member, who will do a good job. After talking to Gatesway, I'd like to re-apply and join the staff team, due to some of the OGs returning and this server is the only reason I come on Garry's Mod. I can assure you that I will not let you down if you give me the opportunity to join the staff team again.

3.2: If you were in a situation you did not know how to handle what would you do?
I would de-escalate the situation and call for a second opinion/staff member to come and assist me. I would not crack under pressure and let a player take control. If worse comes to worse there's nothing wrong with asking for help.

3.3: Do you have previous experience staffing servers?
Yes, as listed in 3.1.

3.4: List three strengths that you have that will help you staff:
  • I am good with commands, and can use the tools that you get given efficiently.
  • I am firm but understanding, therefore I can use my discretion to give appropriate punishments where I see fit and can reason with people and come to a suitable conclusion.
  • I have good knowledge of the rules and can identify rulebreaks easily. I can also be dominant in admin sits when I have to be.
3.5: List three weaknesses that may affect you when you’re staff:
  • At times I may disagree with people and will voice my opinion - but this necessarily is not a weakness.
  • With sixth form re-opening soon activity may be affected slightly but it will not affect my performance on the server.
  • I genuinely can't think of any relevant weaknesses that will badly affect me as staff.
3.6: Why do you want to be a staff member?
I would like to be a staff member because I would like to help the people I started off here with maintain the server and allow everyone to have fun without someone ruining it. I understand that with the server re-opening that staff numbers may be cut short and would like to fill in and help out wherever neccessary. I believe I will do a good job and have no doubt I will make new friends in my time here as it has been a while and there's a good portion of new players in this community. I don't know what else to say, I used to be a staff member here and enjoyed it and would like to return.
