Hello,

I have a couple of small suggestions to help with server player count and lag reduction.

Restart times:
My first idea is change the server restart time on an evening / night from 12am to around 2am or similar, this is because I have noticed on some occasions the player count being around 20 - 30 on some nights at 12 as the restart occurs to then lose the vast majority of those players due to the restart, my suggestion to delay this could help in keeping those players a little longer as some people are playing to around that time particularly on weekends etc.

Lag reduction:
Another suggestion being relating to lag reduction, this would be to have an automated process to complete the "clearups" and freezing of props etc which staff have to do when the server lags, whether you use a system to calculate when the server is lagging to automatically do these OR have it automatically do these commands every 5 - 10 minutes in a way to help reduce lag.

Another method is to limit each persons vehicles however this could be difficult with car thefts etc and needing more than one vehicle however it is seen on numerous occasions that people get cars from spawn and drive them to the Vauxhall car dealer to then leave them there, this does then pile up regularly and this does add to the lag, even just for the time before they automatically get removed, it is still enough to cause an inconvenience to the server.

Realistically another relevant issue with cars is the PD or any of the departments having multiple vehicles out at once, this is attempted to be limited however it is still adding issues, maybe a reminder to staff or a request to staff to try mention this to newer police members to partner up and share a vehicle to help reduce the lag also.

Many thanks,

As for the 2nd one, if there truly is a system that already does that, then great, but things are still laggy at peak times, might be worth looking at upping server stats, for both player cap and performance.

That is not going to fix anything.
Source engine is limited. If people always want to drive their own car, stay around one area and build massive bases, upgrading the server (which is already very good) won't do shit

From our testing, if everyone spreads around the map the server lags a lot less, so yes just do that.

To reduce the lag, a car dealer has been added to Leslie Green, hopefully spreading out users around the map. We already have systems in place to reduce lag with vehicles and props. Changing restart times won't really affect anything.
