Section B: Definitions and critical thinking:

2.1: Define RDM and provide two examples:

RDM is Random Death Match and it is when you kill someone without an RP reason to do so, intentionally. 2 of examples of this are

Leaving spawn finding the closest person and knifing them to death for no reason.

Seeing someone is shooting your “friend” and killing them when you have no RP affiliation to your friend.


2.2: Define NLR and provide two examples:

NLR is New Life Rule and means that after your death you must not interact with previous combat situations and must not return to the area you died for 5 minutes (this can change depending on whether rp is over in the area) 2 examples of NLR are

Getting base raided dying, respawning, then immediately going back into your base to defend it

Dying to someone, then seeing them later on in game and trying to kill them, this is both NLR and ARDM/RDM


2.3: Define FearRP and provide two examples: fear rp is applied when you are outnumbered by individuals with firearms and you do not have one out yourself. You must follow their commands within reason. 2 examples of fear RP are

You are walking along big chilling and 2 people hop out from their car and point their guns at you and tell you you are being kidnapped you just say no and keep walking. This is breaking fear rp.

However if the same thing did happen and you are walking along big chilling and 2 people hop out from their car etc but you are holding your gun then you are good to start shooting them as you are not under fear rp


2.4: What is homophobia and provide two examples:

Homophobia is being biased, harassing or otherwise being offensive towards someone based on their sexuality (homosexual)

Two examples would be

You find out a staff member is homosexual and you decide to spam the word “fag” in ooc

Another example of this would be you finding out that a fellow riverside player is infact a homosexual and proceeding to harass him in game raiding and targeting him for this reason.

2.5 What is racism and provide two examples: racism is biased, harassing or otherwise being offensive towards someone based on the colour on their country of origin.

One example of being racist is spamming the nword in chat for no reason although it may not be targeted it is still racist.

Finding out a fellow riverside enjoyer is of African decent and harassing him because of this fact.


Please answer the following questions as if you were a Trial-Mod:

2.6: William has adverted carjack and stolen an NHS members vehicle. Joe reports him for failing to advert carjack. What steps will you take to resolve this sit? first I would bring joe to a sit talk to him then teleport to the person he reported see whats happening and see if I can bring him to the sit, let both sides explain and see evidence/logs, then if he has stolen an nhs vehicle without adverting see if he has previous warnsand then depending on whether he clearly knows the rules or not give him a jail/ or warn for nhs-crimes and FTA and ask him to read the rules.

2.7: Joe has reported William for shooting at him for no reason. William states that he was not shooting for no reason, he adverted PD raid. William has killed 6 people. What steps will you take to resolve this sit?



Make the sit like before but this time check logs to see whether the people he has killed were in pd, if they were I would explain to the reporter about how pd raid works and how he can kill whoever he wants if they are inside.

2.8: Joe (Drug dealer) has built a base on the sidewalk. William raids Joes base with no advert. Joe kills William. William gets a new gun and drives straight back and kills Joe and sells all his drugs. What steps will you take to resolve this sit?

Seeing as this situation has 2 sides in the wrong I would like to lower the potential punishment for this if at all possible I would like to tell them both to read the rules after explaining what each person did wrong with the basing the raiding without advert and the nlr however if they are both obviously ignoring the rules and its affecting others rp I would have to warn them both.

2.9: William as a Commander in the Police is hosting a meeting he adverts “Pd meeting | Starting 5m | Important topics | No major crimes” Joe as a Jihad adverts bombing and ends up killing 10 people. What steps will you take to resolve this sit?



I would bring the Jihad to a sit area and talk to him and check his warns, if he simply missed the no majors advert id probably give him a verbal warning/ actual warn. However if he didn’t care I might have to look into a more severe punishment.

3.1: Why should we choose you over other applicants?

I know the rules well I am reasonable I understand the point of staff is to make rp fun and fair for the people who are playing the server properly. And to keep riverside running smoothly plus most people like me.


3.2: If you were in a situation you did not know how to handle what would you do?

Ask a higher up staff member

3.3: Do you have previous experience staffing servers?

No but ii do have work experience in group management

3.4: List three strengths that you have that will help you staff:

im logical reasonable and intelligent.

3.5: List three weaknesses that may affect you when you’re staff:

can’t devote all my time on the g-mod server to staff as I have roles in sc0 and I like playing on my custom job.

I have a job so I won’t be on till after 5 on weekdays usually.

I can sometimes be too harsh.


3.6: Why do you want to be a staff member?

Its something I haven’t tried before and I think I would be good at it, I think I am unbiased

I have been playing along with him for the past couple of days, he's a great guy with a great personality, is very funny, and is definitely in depth with the rules
